Recently, I had a sit down with my dad. He is now in his seventies and is retired after fifty-some years of working as a mechanic. I asked him what kept him getting up every morning all those years and he said because he had a dream of a better life. God has blessed him for all his hard work. The man has everything. Oh, and he said he wanted to provide for us. My dad is MVP because he showed us how to work hard and reach our goals. He always says God provides everything we need; all we have to do is have the will to go after it.

My father-in-law was a man of few words. When he spoke we always listen to him. We knew he would give us pearls of wisdom.
Pop was a great blessing to us all. He was the best dad in the world to his 4 step-children. You would never know he was a step-dad, his love so strong. When the in-laws came along , well his heart
just got even bigger. The grandchildren became his world, he felt like the riches man alive. He was often in a lot of pain from an old back injury. But never told his grandchildren no, when they needed him to play.
The day he went to Heaven , he told Michelle he was sorry. He was just in to much pain to wait any longer. Halley was born a week later, but we tell her, and Alex often, how much "old papa" loved his babies.
Knowing one day we will see Pop again in Heaven, brings our family much joy.
So my Pop is the M.V.P.
Then it would have to be my Rich.

Of Course I think my husband is the best Dad in the world because he is always so concerned with mine and our kids needs and wants. He always puts us before himself. He sacrafices alot for us and his love is unconditional. It is awesome to watch his relationship with his son grow stronger each day. I look forward to seeing Don and DJ, when DJ is an adult on family vacations playing golf and fishing together. They already do these things together, but it is going to be so great to see two adults doing it together. Especially because Don gives up time that he could spend with buddies just so he can do things with DJ. I think that is very admireable. He really is an MVP and an awesome example to other Men of what being a Dad is all about. I am honored to be his wife.

My Dad is the best dad in the whole wide world because he plays with me everyday and he loves me.

Don is the Most Valuable Pop, because, he tells jokes and he is nice.

I'd have to say my dad is greatest man i know. He has been through everything it seems and to see where God has him now is such a blessing! My daddy is always there for us no matter what! He's such a good example, not only to me but to others.I'm proud he's my dad...plus he's super cool and funny. He always makes me laugh. My dad is the MVP for sure!!!

Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to have a great dad. I used to think that until God gave me an understanding and a love for my dad that I could never have if it weren't for God's own love. My dad was quite mean and unloving and I could go on but I won't only because that doesn't matter anymore. What matters most now is the way he left this earth showing great love towards his family and friends. Not only did my dad ask for forgiveness from those he had done wrong to but from me which I know was the hardest thing for him to do. He had to lay down his pride and admit he was wrong and ask for forgiveness. Wow! At that moment, it was as if he had never hurt me or did any wrong towards me. God is good. He gave me an understanding for the way my dad was. Basically, I had no excuse to hate my dad. I only shared this poem with a few people but it pretty much says it all.
My Dad, By Loriene Ezell 6/00

I thought of you today,
and wondered how you felt,
the day I came into your life.
Were you happy, were you sad,
did I bring you joy,
on that special day.

I thought of you today,
and remembered many things,
times weren't always great,
though it seemed like they were.
I didn't know your feelings,
but I still loved you anyways.

I thought of you today,
it brought me back to thinking,
we really didn't know each other
but managed somehow
to make it through
each passing day.

I thought of you today,
remembering my wedding day.
I wondered if you'd come,
it made me really nervous,
how would I react?
you showed up and made my day.

I thought of you today,
as you lied there on your bed,
sickness filled your body,
there wasn't much time left.
You asked for forgiveness
I didn't know what to say.

I thought of you today,
ten years has come and gone.
I thank my Lord for you,
He made me really strong.
He gave me understanding,
I now know what you wanted to say.

I thought of you today,
and these words filled my thoughts,
I love you precious daughter,
you've made me really proud.
I'm glad I was your father,
This is what I've always
wanted to say.

Appreciate your dad today & always.

Our daddy God is the best Pop in the world. It is amazing how he is taking care of our church in the midst of the fire. I stand in awe of him as I see the outpouring of love and support that is coming in from the community, other churches, friends, family, and council members. I am excited to see that our God truely is an awesome God, that he never leaves us or forsakes us and that when we put our trust in him he always shows up. He has to be recognized as the best Daddy in the whole world.

I just wanted to say that I have the best Daddy on this earth! My daddy plays with me everyday, he takes me fishing and is teaching me how to play basket ball. He rides me on his scooter and we go for walks when we can. He lets me help him build things and do repairs around our house. He also does some things for me that I can't do for myself. Like dress me and give me my medicine and feeds me when I can't do it myself. I have cerebal palsey and I don't walk so good or talk exactly right, but my daddy understands what I'm trying to say. You see my Daddy chose me, I'm adopted. My Daddy loves me very much, I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful earthly father. I Love him so much.
